MAGA salad bar and a 'Champale fountain!' Spoof fundraiser trolls Trump's money problems
A MAGA salad bar and a Champale fountain at the presidential library and steakhouse — at $10,000 a plate, how could you say no to this, sadly, likely fake invite to a Donald Trump fundraiser?
These wild attractions appear on a satirical invitation to a Save America fundraiser hosted in Florida on Feb. 16, that has been seen by tens of thousands of tickled X users.
"Time To Raise Some Money At The Donald J. Trump Presidential Library and Steakhouse," it reads. "No sharing."
The affair was slated to be "All You Can Eat" New York Strip and Crab Legs!"
The invite further tried to entreat folks to come by offering the "MAGA" Salad Bar and the malt liquor Fountain.
In small typeface, the invite lays down certain sarcastic limitations: "No Splitting. No Takeout. No Coupons 5 0% Gratuity on all parties over 1... Cash Only."
The snark arrived the weekend after Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron ordered former President Donald Trump to pay $355 million in penalties for committing widespread fraud for years.
Readers were charmed.
"Well he doesn’t have a line of credit anymore and no one would take a check from him," wrote Andy Mack. "So that makes sense."
"What the hell is champale?" asked lol@sedow63. Daze answered, "It's a hideous combo of beer and champagne."
"His Library is finished already," asked Liane Albert. "Must have been very easy to do since he doesn’t read and neither do the MAGATS. Totally ridiculous. But not not surprising at all."
"And you know the steak is leftover from his Trump steak business," wrote @PattiR57167178. Replied @BagdMilkSoWhat, "A little freezer burn never killed anyone."
