Gloversville man sentenced to prison for burglary and grand larceny charges
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Stashu Roberts, 27, of Gloversville, was sentenced to three and a half to seven years in state prison for burglary in the third degree. Roberts was arrested on August 25 after being found unresponsive at a McDonald's in Wilton.
At the time of the arrest, police say Roberts appeared to be under the influence of a substance and observed a controlled substance in his belongings. Police say Roberts was in possession of forged checks and personal paperwork not named to him.
It was determined that the items were proceeds of multiple thefts being investigated by the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office. Roberts pled guilty to the charge on November 28, 2023.
Roberts also pled guilty to grand larceny in the fourth degree. The charge stemmed from an arrest on September 28. He was sentenced to one and a half to three years in state prison, which will run concurrently with the burglary sentencing.
