Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: After opening lower on weak global cues, India’s equity benchmarks BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty recovered due to surge in financial stocks. At 12.05 p.m., while the Sensex gained 0.33% to 72,950.58, Nifty advanced 0.17% to 22,159.15. Vibhor Steel Tubes recorded a phenomenal 182% gain on its listing day, soaring to ₹425 per share compared to its issue price of ₹151. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs sees Nifty50 scaling up to 23,500 by end-December 2024 even as it does not expect any large market moves around the upcoming 2024 general elections outcome.
