Peter Andre reveals heartbreaking news about his mum’s health saying ‘I am finding it hard to deal with’
PETER Andre has shared a heartbreaking updated about his mum’s health and admitted “I am finding it hard to deal with”.
The Aussie star is fast approaching 51 years old and said growing older comes with the pain of seeing his elderly parents’ health deteriorating.
His mum Thea, 87, and dad Savvas, 89, live in Australia.
Peter, who is expecting his fifth child with wife Emily, wrote in his column: “I can’t believe I’m nearly 51.
“I was worried as I approached 50, but I’m over that and I feel great.
“I’m loving life and age is just a number. You can live life to the fullest at any age.
“I will be honest, though, the only thing that makes me sad about getting older is that my parents are too.
“Although I thank God my parents are still here, I am seeing the rapid decline, especially in Mum. I find that part hard to deal with.”
The star added in his New magazine column: “Like most people, l’m so close to my parents that it is really difficult to come to terms with.”
Peter previously opened up about the hardship of living 9,000 miles from his parents who are based in Australia.
Two years ago he said he planned to take his entire family to Australia amid his mum Thea’s health struggle.
Peter – who shares daughter Princess, 16 and son Junior, 18, with ex-wife Katie Price – took all of his kids including his youngest children and wife Emily to see his parents last year.
The popstar previously said he was finding visiting Oz tricky due to his kids’ school arrangements and Emily’s work commitments as an NHS doctor.
The couple, who share two kids Amelia, nine, and Theo, six, are expecting their third child together.
Today Peter, 50, and Emily, 34, appeared on ITV‘s Loose Women to talk about welcoming another baby into the world.
The panel were keen to know what Peter would like as they have kept the gender a secret.
Peter said that he’s been lucky to have one of each, but would really like to add another son to his family.
He said: “I’ve been lucky because I’ve had both, and technically, this will be the sixth set of nappies I’ve changed…
“So actually… I really don’t know. But preferably a boy.”
