A STAY-AT-HOME wife has left people divided after she opened up about how ‘exhausting’ it is to maintain her ‘perfect’ home.

Sophie, 34, who spends her days cooking, cleaning, food shopping and looking after her children, revealed that nasty trolls hail her as ‘lazy’ for not having a ‘job’.

But while the 34-year-old spends her time cooking, cleaning and tidying, people were quick to clap back and point out just how much they do, all whilst working a full-time job

Posting on social media, in a recent video, we saw the busy mum tidying and cleaning her home.

Before she cracked on with the jobs in her home, she wrote: “POV: You get called lazy because you’re a housewife and don’t have a ‘job’ but every day looks like this.”

She started off by making the beds and then proceeded to do the washing up.

She also cleaned her hob before moving onto her bathroom.

But things didn’t stop there, as she then hoovered her immaculate living room, before cooking a roast dinner.

The stay-at-home mother then explained that she has “never ending jobs” to do around her home.

She also added: “It’s actually exhausting when you want your house to look perfect all the time.”

Big divide

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @sophies.home.life, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 954,500 views in just 22 hours.

But social media users were left totally divided at Sophie’s video – while many pointed out that they do the same, whilst having a full-time job, others rushed to support the mother.

One person said: “Imagine having to do all that AND actually go to work…oh wait, I do.”

Another added: “Isn’t this the stuff we all have to do as well as doing our jobs though.”

A third commented: “You’re not lazy, but most people do all of this and work. I do this, work full time, and do a uni degree in the evenings too, I’m exhausted 24/7.”

At the same time, someone else penned: “Your home is beautiful.. please don’t take this the wrong way but you’re no different from us at home who work as well.”

To this, Sophie replied: “Thank you. You’re missing the point, which is just because we are housewives doesn’t mean we are lazy.

“We are still hard working, whether we go out to work or not.”

Whilst another user penned: “Why don’t housewives just admit that they have a tiny bit of extra time to relax? It’s ok, good for you!!!”

Despite this, many social media users were eager to support Sophie.

One user expressed: “You do an amazing job girl.”

A second chimed in: “Why are people so jealous. You’re a brilliant mum and housewife.”

Whilst another person questioned: “Why are people attacking this lovely lady for investing in her family?”

But this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Sophie – previously, the mother opened up about the nasty comments she has previously received as a result of being a housewife.

Not only has Sophie received comments such as “do a CV and do something with your life”, but people have even gone as far to say “her family values are being a lazy housewife and isn’t setting a good example to her children.”

Clapping back, Sophie set the record straight and revealed: “As soon as I left school, I got a job at the age of 16. I worked part-time whilst I was at college.

“As soon as I left college I got a full-time job at the bank. I worked there for five years and then at the age of 24 I fell pregnant with my first child.

“At eight months pregnant, I got made redundant from that job so obviously I didn’t go looking for a new job, because I was about to give birth.

“When my little boy was 18-months-old I got pregnant with my second child, my little girl.

“I just love being a mum and spending all my time with my children, looking after them and taking care of them, and also looking after my husband and taking care of the house.

“I know everyone’s circumstances are different, so not everyone is able to be a stay-at-home mum or a housewife.

“I have an extremely hard working husband that is very determined and he has worked his butt off for the last 12 years, since I’ve known him, to get where he is in his job, so I can stay at home and be a mum and a housewife, while he goes to work and supports us financially.”
