My hair’s grown past my hips – my favorite 3-ingredient DIY mask promotes growth and thickness, it’s the best combo ever
A BEAUTY enthusiast with enviably long locks has revealed the three ingredients she uses to make a hair growth mask.
She said her DIY hair treatment not only stimulates growth but also thickens for healthy tresses.
Georgia Bran (@georgia_bran) boasts over 273,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares haircare tips.
She took to the social media platform to reveal her favorite DIY hair growth and thickness serum and mask.
She measured out the ingredients, ¼ cups of fresh rosemary and two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds.
“Boil the rosemary leaves for 10 minutes,” read the text over the screen.
“Let the fenugreek soak in water for four to five hours.
“After the rosemary water has cooled down combine both waters and spray them on your scalp and hair length.”
Georgia didn’t show the process of straining the rosemary or fenugreek, but the step was evident as the mixture looked clear in her spray bottle.
She applied the serum to dry hair before revealing how the same ingredients can be used to make a hair mask.
“I had some fenugreek seeds and water left, so I mixed in the blender,” she said. “It’s a messy hair mask.”
The beauty guru used her hand to apply the mixture generously to her scalp before rinsing.
“Wash your hair as you normally do,” the text over the screen read.
“Be sure to shampoo twice if you do the second mask.”
She described applying both the serum and mask to her hair as the “best combination ever!”
Over 3,100 people liked the video and many viewers took to the comment section asking more questions about her hair growth journey.
The hair growth remedy comes after research stating that rosemary oil can be just as effective as medical treatment minoxidil.
According to an article published by MedicalNewsToday, studies have also found evidence that rosemary oil can increase hair count in people with androgenic alopecia.
Research conducted in 2017 claimed rosemary oil can be a useful treatment for hair loss due to a bacterial scalp infection.
Fenugreek has often been suggested as a treatment to promote hair growth, however, according to WebMD research into whether it actually works has been limited.
