Ange Postecoglou receives the most glowing of endorsements from Tottenham legend
Somehow, some sections of the Tottenham fanbase are unhappy with Ange Postecoglou. One man you won’t find calling for Postecoglou to be removed from his position, though, is Spurs legend Steve Perryman, who voiced his support on social media.
Postecoglou took over at Spurs in the summer, and was immediately met by some scepticism given the fact he had not managed in the Premier League before.
With Spurs selling their all-time top goalscorer, Harry Kane, in the summer, too, very few had given the club any hope of achieving anything this season.
However, Postecoglou has instilled fresh belief in his team, with a new, attacking style of football entertaining the fans, and results being largely positive so far this term.
Spurs are currently fifth in the league table with 13 games to go, and have a real chance of finishing in the top four and bringing Champions League football back to North London. All this, despite Postecoglou only being in the first year of his rebuild at the club.
Still, a small section of the supports do not believe Postecoglou is the right man to lead Spurs forward, with some vocalising their disdain after the defeat against Wolves at the weekend.
Perryman backs Postecoglou for Spurs success
Steve Perryman, the former Spurs star who lifted the FA Cup, League Cup, and UEFA Cup with the club, has insisted Postecoglou is worthy of support, however.
Perryman tweeted: “I don’t trust newspapers or social media. I don’t usually agree with pundits. I’m not on the firm, nose in the trough or a toe-the-line man. I do trust my experienced eyes and football brain.
“I was taught by Bill Nick and Keith Burkinshaw and realise how patience can bear fruit as proven by players like Chivers, Bale and Kane, with the danger of instant judgements. I’m not a lover of football chairmen making/taking football decisions. I do trust Ange.”

The idea of turning against Postecoglou or demanding he leave the club is just ridiculous. The club has never been more positive, and the foundations he is building right now are going to bring success to Spurs, without a doubt.
