Pundit claims Man United need to sign one Tottenham player this summer
Manchester United are seemingly in need of something of a rebuild, and if you ask Dwight Yorke, his former club should be trying to sign Heung-min Son from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Tottenham have undergone their own revamp over the last eight months or so under Ange Postecoglou, and things are going pretty well so far, with the Lilywhites currently in fifth place in the Premier League.
With 13 games to go this season, there’s a real chance Spurs could finish in the top four and bring Champions League football back to North London.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently in sixth place in the league, and are just three points behind Spurs as it stands. However, it has been an unconvincing and inconsistent season for the Red Devils, and Erik ten Hag’s squad requires some work.
Manchester United need Sonny
According to former United striker, Dwight Yorke, in a chat with The Gambling Zone, the main goal should be to snatch Heung-min Son away from Tottenham.
Yorke said: “Man United must do everything to sign Heung-min Son in the summer and a CB and CM is also needed. I would sign a central defender for sure but I couldn’t name one right now.
“I think we need a number 9, somebody up there with a little bit more Premier League experience and a good player like Son for me would be brilliant. He’s not like Harry Kane but he’s still got energy and brings so many goals, so someone like him would attract me very much to go and get.
“These clubs are all competing and to get those kinds of players will be difficult, especially if United don’t get the Champions League next season.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Why Son would leave the club he captains for a Premier League rival, and a club that might not even finish above Spurs this season anyway, is beyond me. This is such a nonsensical suggestion.
