8 people arrested during pro-Palestinian rally in Queens: NYPD
ASTORIA, Queens (PIX11) – At least eight people were arrested during a pro-Palestinian rally in Queens on Monday, according to the NYPD.
Hundreds took to the streets of Astoria to show their support for Palestinians in Gaza.
It happened at Steinway Street and Astoria Boulevard, with marchers calling for an end to the war between Israel and Hamas.
A police officer was injured during the protest when he was hit over the head with some debris, according to authorities.
