The four best high street hair masks that’ll smooth breakage and frizz – including a £6 buy that ‘trumps Olaplex’
A HAIRCARE whizz has revealed the best high street conditioners and masks you absolutely have to try.
We often hear the likes of Olaplex getting praised for fixing hair problems like breakage and dehydration – but they can be pricey.
Thankfully the hair whizz shared her go-to high street products and some even trump the more expensive buys.
Taking to social media, the woman who goes by W Beauty online said she’d be rating the best conditioners and hair masks on the market which actually help her bleach blonde hair feel and look hydrated.
Speaking on Olaplex no5, which costs £19, she gave it a rating of 7/10.
She added: “I really like it, I think it’s worth the price.
“Leaves my hair soft and helps with the frizz, the packaging bothers me a bit, you have to squeeze so hard to get it out sometimes.”
But there were a few high street masks she gave an even higher rating to.
The hair pro revealed that her favourite masks on the high street all came from L’Oreal and there were a fair few to pick from.
First she recommended the Total Repair mask which costs £4.85 which she rated an 8/10.
“For some reason my hair LOVES L’Oreal hair masks my hair is soft, silky and shiny after using it, I use this as a hair mask and conditioner, works like a charm both ways,” she claimed.
The next one was the Garnier Botanic Therapy conditioner which costs £2.39.
The beauty fan added: “I don’t even know why my hair looks sooo good after this one,” and gave it an 8/10 as well.
She also raved about the L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil mask which is currently on offer for £3.49 in Superdrug.
The woman was so impressed with the cheap hair mask that it was the only product she gave a 10/10 rating to.
She explained: “L’Oreal did it again, for some reason my hair looks really good after using products with coconut oil.
“Smooth, soft, silky, moisturised, good smelling hair.”
While there are lots of good products on the high street, the beauty fan did warn against one mask that did nothing for her locks.
She said the viral Garnier Hair Foods mask did nothing for her hair and she hated the smell so gave it a 0 out of 10.
The clip has since gone viral on her TikTok account @wbeauty83 with over 1million views and 92k likes.
People were quick to thank her for her recommendations in the comments section of the post.
One person wrote: “I swear to god some of these cheap drugstore products much better than Olaplex and Kerastase and idk what.”
Another commented: “L’Oreal is just the best hands down.”
“Now this is what you call a proper review!!!! THANK YOU,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “I know nothing about haircare, and this was so helpful.”
“Philip Kingsley stuff is way better than Olaplex,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “I have long bleached hair and I love the L’Oreal dream lengths line, it’s so good and affordable.”
