Love Island result revealed by Sun readers hours before final yet again – as Molly and Tom clinch ‘closest ever’ victory

The Sun readers managed to accurately predict ALL the results of this year’s Love Island final with perfect accuracy.

Following our readers’ poll asking you who you think would take home the win (and £50,000 prize money), readers voted for Molly Smith, 29, and Tom Clare, 24, to be crowned champions.

This later came true with Maya Jama declaring the pair the winners in Monday’s live finale.

It was later revealed by the ITV2 show that last night’s All-Stars finale was the closest in the show’s history – with just two per cent separating Molly and Tom from runner-ups, Callum Jones and Jess Gale.

But The Sun’s readers were way ahead of them – accurately predicting Molly and Tom will win, with Callum and Jess coming in second.

In fact, of the nearly 8,000 votes cast, the percentage split favoured Tom and Molly even more.

The duo earned 40.65% of the final vote on The Sun’s website, while Callum and Jess earned 34.7%.

This comes in comparison to the official Love Island vote, which saw the difference narrow to 35% for Molly and Tom, and 33% for Callum and Jess.

Josh and Sophie came in third place on the show with 15% of the vote, higher than The Sun’s vote of 10.63% (but still earning them the third place position).

Sadly, Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran, and Georgia Harrison and Anton Danyluk, weren’t close in either of the votes and were destined to come in fourth and fifth place respectively.

Toby and Georgia earned 8.75% in our poll and 10% in the official vote, while Anton and Georgia H earned 5.27% in The Sun vote and 7% in the final tally.

After being declared the winners and securing the £50,000 prize, Tom told host Maya “my mind’s blown” – while Molly was visibly shaking as she shouted “what the hell”.
