Maryland weather: Stint of sunny days followed by rain late in week
Following a short span of sunny skies early in the week, the National Weather Service forecasts rain to return to the Baltimore area late in the week.
Presidents Day’s sunny skies will continue into Tuesday while temperatures reach a high around 50 degrees. Tuesday night will have temperatures lowering to near 28.
The NWS predicts Wednesday to be mostly sunny with a high near 51 and a low around 30.
Thursday will reach a high near 53, but after 2 p.m., there will be a slight chance of rain. At night, the temperatures will only drop to a low around 44. Chances of rain will shoot from 20% to 60% after 2 a.m.
Rain will continue into Friday, mainly before 8 a.m., while temperatures climb to 59. At night, chances of rain will fall to 30%, and temperatures will hit a low around 33.
Temperatures are forecast to take a dive on Saturday, as the high will be near 46 and a low around 27.
The weather service anticipates warmer temperatures to return Sunday with a high around 55 and a low near 38.
