Love Island winners Molly and Tom break silence on ‘bizarre’ final as they reveal huge step in romance
LOVE Island winners Molly Smith and Tom Clare have broken their silence on last night’s “bizarre” final while revealing the huge step they’re hoping to take in their romance.
Molly, 29, and Tom, 24, bagged the £50,000 prize money last night as Maya Jama crowned them the All Stars champions.

Speaking to Indiyah Polack on The Morning After podcast, the couple were asked about their boyfriend and girlfriend status.
Not one to hold back, Tom replied, “Yeah, that’s the plan. I feel like obviously we’ve had the best time in here and obviously I want her to be my girlfriend. I’ve only got eyes for Mol.”
On how it feels to be the series winners, Molly admitted, “[It’s] bizarre, I’m still in a bit of a daze actually.
“When I was stood up there, I was literally shaking looking at Tom just thinking, ‘What is going on?'”
Also in the villa was Molly’s ex Callum Jones, who we exclusively revealed she had split with back in September.
At the time, Callum has moved out of their home with their pug, Winnie while she kept Pomeranian, Nelly.
While it appears the former couple have made amends, Indiyah asked what their friendship means for their dogs.
Molly replied, “The dogs are still gonna be in each other’s lives. Honestly that’s all I cared about. But now, they’re gonna have nice family meetings maybe.”
The pair went head-to-head with Callum and Jess Gale, as well as Georgia Harrison and Anton Danyluk.
Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran made the final too, closely followed by Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie, who finished in third place.
Molly and Tom claimed 35 percent of the vote while Jess and Callum received 33.
Sophie and Josh were backed by 15 percent of viewers, with Georgia Steel and Toby taking 10.
Georgia H and Anton, meanwhile, only got seven percent.
Molly and Tom had been bookies’ favourite to win since they first coupled up two weeks ago.
After being declared the winners and securing the £50,000 prize, Tom told host Maya “my mind’s blown” – while Molly was visibly shaking as she shouted, “What the hell.”

Talking about navigating romance within the villa with her ex Callum there, Molly said: “I think obviously from the outside looking in, people won’t understand.
“We’re in an intense environment and you’ve got to get along so it kind of forced us to be friends.
“We probably wouldn’t be at this stage on the outside, it probably would have just been a bit awkward, but I feel like it’s got us to a place that we never would have gotten to, and I’m actually grateful for that.”
Discussing how viewers had been keen for them to rekindle their relationship, host Maya said she could “relate” as people had been encouraging her to get back with her past partner, grime star Stormzy.
