A BEAUTY guru has revealed how she reversed the signs of aging on her skin without using any cosmetic injections.
She made small lifestyle changes in addition to adding two anti-aging products to her skincare routine.
Aurora (@rorayoga) has garnered almost 63,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares beauty tips for acne-prone skin.
She shared a photo of herself that was taken in 2019 as she reflected on having visible fine lines when she was just age 25.
“I remember starting to see those lines and I was like damn,” she said.
“Now clearly I don’t have any makeup on or beauty filters on. I have some acne scars.”
She pointed at areas on her cheek and above her forehead where there were still a few pimples.
The beauty guru then drew attention to the areas of her face that once had wrinkles as she gushed about no longer having the fine lines.
“I think there are a couple of big things that led me to get from this to this without any injectables,” she said pointing at the photo then at herself.
“One thing is I worked a really high-stress job that I hated.
“I worked that job until the end of 2021.
“Since then I’ve been sleeping so much better.
“Sleep is huge, even now I notice if I don’t sleep and I’m really stressed out for a week or two the lines start to come back.”
Aurora revealed that she was relying on caffeine throughout the time that she was working the job, which would “deplete” her nutrient reserves.
She also switched from her vegan diet of eight years to eating meat after realizing that her craving for it could indicate an iron and B12 deficiency.
“For some people, veganism will work great and it’s a very anti-inflammatory diet but most of us need the protein and nutrients from meat,” she said.
“Do what feels good for you but make sure that you’re getting enough protein and amino acids.”
The beauty guru said a breakout triggered by quitting hormonal birth control led her to invest in her skincare routine.
She now uses products that have anti-aging benefits and are suitable for acne-prone skin.
