Beauty whizz shares her ‘pure magic’ cream – made with natural ingredients and claims it better than Charlotte Tilbury
WE all want to age well but sadly, most antiaging products will cost you a small fortune.
One beauty guru is refusing to splurge on skincare though, as has created an all-natural night cream that she claims it’s better than Charlotte Tilbury.
After going viral on Tiktok for her banana peel hack, influencer Kate has been sharing her natural remedies online – including a rose water toner and homemade deodorant.
Better known as @yourmategingerkate on the app, her 347,000 fans have gone wild for her recipes and her video regularly tens of thousands of views.
Her recent video on how to make a saffron infused night cream has gone similarly viral, with the influencer calming that the spice will help brighten skin and banish blemishes.
In fact, the science is on her side with a 2013 study stating that crocin, a key component found in the spice, helps to stop hyperpigmentation.
Saffron is also an anti-inflammatory and has antioxidants, with researchers finding that it can even help with healing wounds.
If you weren’t already sold, the content creator showed just how easy it was to make the antiaging cream using a few simple ingredients.
Using just a pinch of saffron and two heaped tablespoons of aloe gel as the base for her moisturiser, Kate added plenty of extra skin nourishing ingredients.
She then mixed this with a teaspoon of sweet almond oil, vitamin oil and then finished her cream with a tablespoon of rose water.
Whilst the bright yellow hue might put some people off, Kate results showed just how powerful the homemade cream was.
Having used the miracle cream for a few days, she showed off her stunningly clear skin and told fans: “I was not joking when I said this is probably the creation I’ve ever made.”
Applying it on camera, Kate claimed the cream was ‘pure magic’ in a jar before joking: “Eat your heart out Charlotte Tilbury…”
If you are tempted to swap your night cream for this DIY version, you can pick up most of the ingredients online for less than a fiver each.
Currently, Amazon are selling Vitamin E oil for £2.99, aloe gel for £4.98 and sweet almost oil for £3.99.
Meanwhile, you can find rose water at Ocado for just a £1 and saffron for £2.85 at Waitrose.
For those that haven’t done the maths, it means you’ll spend just £15.81 buying these ingredients – which is less than what you probably currently spend on skincar.
Even better, you can make multiple batches of this secret formula and have your skin look camera ready all year round.
As it is made from fresh ingredients though, you’ll need to make sure you keep this refrigerated and make a fresh batch regularly.
Despite the extra skincare step, Kate’s fans have already been using the homemade moisturiser and raving about it on Tiktok.
One even wrote: “Loving your face care products. Just tried the saffron face cream. Feels amazing.”
Best nab your ingredients on the way home then!
