Report: Tottenham and Harry Kane are set for a summer reunion on Heung-min Son’s home turf

0

Football London report that Tottenham and Bayern Munich are expected to hold a friendly this summer in South Korea ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Harry Kane swapped North London for the Bundesliga at the end of the 2023 summer transfer window, but has endured a tough time of it of late. Bayern Munich have suffered three straight defeats in all competitions, throwing their Champions League and Bundesliga credentials into question.

Eric Dier is also currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Spurs and, should he earn a permanent contract come the end of the campaign, he could also line up in the South Korea reunion.

Harry Kane is set to face off against Tottenham

Football London state that the friendly between Spurs and Bayern is expected to take place on August 2 as part of the Coupang Play Series, which will see Tottenham face off against a K League All-Star team on July 28 as well.

South Korea makes perfect sense for a pre-season setting, as Bayern and Spurs both boast two of the country’s biggest footballing stars in Kim Min-Jae and Heung-min Son respectively.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It’s a shame the friendly won’t be taking place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Harry never really got the send-off he deserved. But, I’m sure he will be back in London at some point to visit the ground and have a moment with the fans.
