Memorial to be held for teen, 15, killed while subway surfing on J train
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Family and friends will gather Tuesday for a memorial to remember a 15-year-old boy who was killed while subway surfing a year ago.
Zackery Nazario was riding on top of a Manhattan-bound J train. The train was crossing the Williamsburg Bridge when Nazario hit his head on a metal beam, according to authorities.
He was knocked off the car and onto the tracks.
His loved ones will march along the Williamsburg Bridge and speak about increased safety measures on subways, like locking the doors between subway cars.
