Police search for man in deadly stabbing of Brooklyn bouncer
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police are looking for a man in connection with a deadly stabbing of a Brooklyn bouncer back on Feb. 10.
Laurence Hopkins, 61, was stabbed several times in the neck at the Garden Bar and Grill located at 140 Graham Ave. in Williamsburg, according to authorities. Police said a group of men started harassing a woman working at the restaurant, which led to a fight.
Hopkins was trying to calm people down when someone broke free and stabbed him in the neck, according to authorities. One of the wounds was so deep it went through his tongue, according to authorities. His coworkers tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at a hospital, authorities said.
The NYPD on Monday released new surveillance images of a suspect wanted in connection with the stabbing. So far, no arrests have been made.
