Alina Habba confused after Newsmax host says her 'reputation' could suffer over Trump
Attorney Alina Habba doesn't worry about her reputation being harmed by representing former president Donald Trump.
Following a devastating judgment against her client in a New York fraud case, Habba was asked about her newfound celebrity in a Tuesday interview on Newsmax.
"Since you hooked on with the former president and started representing him, your career has skyrocketed," host Rob Finnerty said. "I think Alina Haba is now, it's a household name, really."
"But you're young, you're young in your career," he noted. "How concerned are you about what this could mean for your reputation down the road?"
"In terms of what?" a confused Habba replied.
Finnerty explained why "a lot of attorneys out there no longer want to represent the former president."

"And you've got a bright future, seemingly," the host said.
"Yes," Habba agreed. "I have to tell you the truth. I wouldn't do anything differently. I'm so proud of the work that I've done."
The attorney insisted that her court losses were "not a result of the facts not being on our side or bad lawyering."
"They are a result of the fact that he is the leading candidate for the Republican Party and frankly for president in general," she asserted. "So I can say that, look, trolls will be trolls, Rob."
