Girl escapes car during Southeast Portland robbery

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Three suspects stole a car Tuesday night, authorities said, but not before a child had to fight her way to freedom.

According to Portland police, officers responded to a robbery report on Southeast Division Street and learned that a child had been sitting in a running vehicle while her father was inside their home when three suspects jumped into the vehicle.

After a struggle, officials said the girl managed to free herself and get out of the car.

The suspects then took off and crashed a short while later, authorities said. They have yet to be found.

No suspects have been found.
