Police arrest Hudson Falls man on rape charge

HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Terrance Crawford, 38, of Hudson Falls, was arrested on Monday. Crawford is a level 2 registered sex offender who had been previously convicted of rape in the third degree in 2015.

According to the Saratoga Springs Police Department, a family member of the minor victim uncovered conversations with the accused on social media apps. An investigation determined that probable cause existed.

Police charged Crawford with rape in the second degree and criminal sex act in the second degree. He was arraigned in the City Court of Saratoga Springs and is being held on $70,000 cash bail, $70,000 partial secured bond, or $140,000 bond to appear at a later date.
