Arsenal player ratings: William Saliba & Leandro Trossard stand out for all the wrong reasons in shocking Porto display
ARSENAL put in an uninspiring performance against Porto in their Champions League round of 16 shock defeat.
Mikel Arteta‘s side slumped to a 1-0 defeat at the Estadio do Dragao after Galeno netted in the 94th minute.
William Saliba and Leandro Trossard both really struggled to match their usual standards in the clash.
Trossard missed multiple chances to score while Saliba was not as solid as normal.
Arsenal would have been hoping to have picked up a win in the first leg but struggled to muster a meaningful attempt on target.

David Raya – 6
Has a few questionable moments in the first half but escaped punishment as Galeno could only hit the post.
Recovered to make some important saves to keep Arsenal’s clean sheet.
Benjamin White – 6
White did his job at right-back as he was rarely exposed by the Porto attackers.
William Saliba – 4
The defender missed a chance to score in the first half with a poor header.

Saliba lost the ball throughout as he looked a shadow of his usual self.
Gabriel Magalhaes – 6
The Brazilian was much better than Saliba as he helped the side at least manage a clean sheet.
Jakub Kiwior – 5
A quiet game for Jakub Kiwior as he picked up a booking for fouling Fernandes Conceiçao in the second half.
Martin Odegaard -6
Odegaard was Arsenal’s main creator as he tried his best to influence the proceedings.
However he struggled to find the cutting edge at times.
Declan Rice – 6
Picked up Arsenal’s quickest booking (65s) since Abou Diaby in September 2012 (21s) after a lapse of concentration.
Following the error, the midfielder saw plenty of the ball but failed to add much industry to the performance.
Kai Havertz – 5
The forward was often wasteful with the ball and missed a couple of chances to head Arsenal into the lead.
Bukayo Saka – 5
Saka was the most dangerous of the Arsenal attack but even he could not produce a meaningful attempt.
Leandro Trossard – 4
Trossard was hooked off on the 73rd minute as he failed to continue his scoring run.
The Belgian missed the Gunnes’ best chances of the game as he could not find the target.
Gabriel Martinelli – 4
The Brazilian lost the ball on a few occaisons and struggled to deal with the physicality of Pepe.
Subs
Jorginho 73′ – 6
Replaced Trossard late on on in the second half and had a very little impact on the game.
