'Get the popcorn ready': Experts say Trump's name could be stripped from Trump Tower

If Donald Trump refuses to pay his fine to New York after losing his fraud trial, it means his properties could be seized, experts said on MSNBC Wednesday.

They discussed Judge Arthur Engoron's hefty $355 million fine after finding Trump liable for years of fraud, and noted that unless the former president comes up with the cash for the judgment, assets could be sold.

"We are prepared to make sure the judgment is paid to New Yorkers," Attorney General Letitia James said recently. "And, yes, I look at 40 Wall Street each and every day."

Panelist on the news network and former Congressman David Jolly (R-FL) believe the Attorney General's office is preparing to take such action because the likelihood succcess on appeal is slim, he said.

"Get the cameras ready, get the popcorn ready, we might all watch Donald Trump lose his real estate empire, and the Trump name comes off of buildings," he said.

Former prosecutor Harry Litman appeared to relish the day Jolly described.

"Just think about the day and the bowls of popcorn as the big Trump name comes down from Trump Tower," said Litman. "Empire State goes up. He always exaggerates his brand, but there are editions of it everywhere, certain kinds of stuff that goes away. He's just one other guy on the street. A former real estate tycoon. And the brand he spent a lifetime building next to his liberty is a thing he wants to preserve, and his odds of doing it, as David just said, have really plummeted."
