I waited 20 mins to park, but a ‘punk kid’ helped parents steal my spot with a bike – I have a ‘hero’s’ patience
A DRIVER has posted a dashcam video of a parking lot encounter that has ruffled commenter’s feathers.
In a YouTube video, the driver said they were waiting for a spot, but a family allegedly tried to steal it.
The video, posted seven years ago by a road-recording driver (@wayneg9998), starts with a family of people packing a blue car.
The YouTubing driver pulls up within 40 feet of the parking spot, clearly indicating they were planning to take it.
As the family continued to pack the car, the YouTuber waited patiently for the spot.
The spot was found after the driver allegedly circled the lot for nearly 20 minutes.
However, the spot was about to be stolen by a second car.

The child’s family, driving a silver Toyota Corolla, emerges from the other direction in the parking lot.
“I was here first,” the YouTuber said repeatedly to the boy.
Then, the family in the blue car said they had been talking to the boy’s family and that they should grab the spot.
With the boy on a bike – whom the YouTuber called a “punk” in the caption – still blocking the vehicle, the family’s Corolla swiftly grabbed the spot.
Ultimately, the YouTuber had to drive away after losing out on the spot.
Driving experts told local CTV News that the YouTuber may actually be in the wrong.
“People automatically assume they do not have to follow the rules in a parking lot,” Shahbaz Munshey, a driving instructor, told the publication.
“I don’t think you need to stand and wait for your spot. It is the wrong thing to do because now you are adding to the traffic.”
However, drivers in the comments section say they would have dealt with the situation with more rage.
“You are a hero for not running over that child or jacking up the car,” a commenter said, referencing several legitimate vehicular crimes.
Other drivers took aim at the child.
“This gets me so pissed and I’m not even there,” another driver commented.
“The kid thinks he’s so cool riding around a parking lot on his bike with his hat backward.”
