Andhra’s opening batsman, Vamshhi Krrishna, cemented his name in the annals of cricket history by unleashing an onslaught of six consecutive sixes against Railways in the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy at the YS Raja Reddy ACP Cricket Stadium in Kadapa. Krrishna’s remarkable feat came against wrist spinner Damandeep Singh, propelling him into the prestigious company of Ravi Shastri, Yuvraj Singh, and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who have achieved this rare accomplishment in the past.

Scoring a blazing 110 off just 64 deliveries, Krrishna’s innings was adorned with nine boundaries and an impressive tally of ten sixes. His explosive batting performance played a pivotal role as Andhra amassed a formidable total of 378 runs in their first innings, with Krrishna emerging as the highest run-scorer of the innings.

Krrishna showcased his versatile range of shots as he dispatched the wrist spinner’s deliveries to every corner of the field. He initiated the onslaught with a powerful slog-sweep over deep square leg off the first ball and followed it up by launching the second ball straight over the bowler’s head for another maximum. Displaying his attacking prowess, the dynamic opener hammered the next four deliveries emphatically on the leg side, completing a truly historic feat.

India’s renowned all-rounder, Ravi Shastri, etched his name in history as the first Indian batter to achieve this extraordinary feat while representing Mumbai against Baroda during the 1985-86 Ranji Trophy season.
