WHETHER it’s forking out on expensive surgery or splashing the cash on a pricey moisturiser, many of us spend hundreds of pounds in a bid to turn back time.
But according to one 59-year-old woman, there’s no need to spend a small fortune when it comes to anti-ageing products.
Vicky has revealed the anti-ageing hack the beauty industry doesn’t want you to know[/caption] The 59-year-old claims the 19p trick will give you ‘kissable’ lips[/caption]Instead, she shared her cheap and cheerful beauty tip that she claims will keep your lips looking “kissable” no matter what your age.
In a clip posted to TikTok (@vicky.derosa), the timeless beauty named Vicky begins: “I’m 59-years-old and this is my greatest anti-ageing hack.”
And according to the age-defying 59-year-old, it’s so good, the “billion dollar anti-ageing industry doesn’t want you to know” about it.
She continues: “People are always asking me about what I use on my lips – and what kind of lip gloss that I use.
“I don’t use lip gloss…I’ll put liner and couple of kinds of lipstick – I’d do do that.
“But then at the very top, to keep them moist, shiny and to make it look like lip gloss, I put coconut oil.
“Yes, you heard me right! I put coconut oil instead of lip gloss.
“And the thing is, it does help to keep the lips really moist an it makes you look kissable.”
Coconut oil can be bought for as little as 19p and, according to the experts at Healthline, has many beauty benefits for dry skin.
“The primary benefit of coconut oil is its moisturising effects. This makes it ideal for chapped lips,” the experts say.
“Your lips are particularly sensitive to moisture loss because the skin is thin, and they’re exposed to the elements more so than other parts of your skin.”
They go on to note how coconut oil is offered used for burn treatment due to its moisture and pain-relieving properties – adding that the same effects are beneficial for cracked lips.
The medical professionals also point out that coconut oil is considered an emollient, which are “non-cosmetic moisturisers that help keep the skin moist, and they’re primarily used to protect the skin.”
They point out that they work by locking moisture in your skin and tend to work best following a bath.
