Savvy shoppers are sprinting to their local M&S, desperate to get their hands on Valentine’s Day buys that have been slashed[/caption] Annie Carr took to social media to show off her haul of goodies[/caption]One savvy shopper was left stunned when browsing the shelves in her local M&S, in Slough, when she noticed that Valentine’s Day treats had been slashed.
Thrilled with her cut-price finds, Annie Carr picked up five boxes of the M&S peachy whips.
For those that haven’t seen these before – they’re a new take on the iconic M&S walnut whip – a whirl-shaped cone of milk chocolate with a whipped vanilla fondant filling, topped with a half-walnut.
However, this Valentine’s specials are the fruitiest and most delicious whips to date.
They are peach and raspberry flavoured and are a delight in a bite.
The milk chocolate whips are filled with peach flavour mallow and raspberry flavour sauce and while they are originally priced at £2.50 for a box of three, Annie was able to find the sweet treats for just 25p a pack in her local M&S.
Clearly overjoyed with her buys, Annie took to social media to alert other shoppers.
Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.4 million members, Annie shared a snap of the peachy whips, which have a best before date of April 2024.
The treats were reduced to just 25p each and Annie made sure to nab five boxes.
Saving £2.25 per box, Annie wrote: “M&S getting rid of their Valentine’s stock.”
She then confirmed: “Loads on the shelf.”
In total, Annie’s haul cost her just £1.25, meaning she saved a staggering £11.25 in total.
Annie shared her post just 17 hours ago, and it has clearly impressed many as it has quickly amassed almost 100 likes.
