‘Prices are ridiculous’ Tesco shoppers fume as they hit F&F for bargain joggers & jeans & are left ‘shocked’ at the tags
FROM electricity to food, everything has skyrocketed in price over the last few months – and it turns out clothes are no different.
While Primark shoppers recently raged after noticing the huge inflation in stores, Tesco fans have also been left “shocked” by the “ridiculous” large jump in prices.
Shoppers have been left ‘shocked’ by the prices of clothes in Tesco[/caption] These grey joggers come with a hefty £25 price tag[/caption]One eagle-eyed customer named Hannah Louise Brain took to money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK to rant about the recent price hikes.
She posted a snap of some relaxed fit grey joggers which were priced at £25, along with pair of ‘super high rise enhance curved contour jeans’ that are marked up at £29.50.
Alongside the images, she penned: “Shocked to be honest! Went to Tesco this morning, to look at their clothes.
“£25 for a pair of joggers. £30 for a pair of jeans. They’ve gone to the extreme with their prices.”
The post has since racked up over 1.1k likes and over 570 comments from other bargain hunters – and it turns out she’s not the only one feeling that way.
“I went to get my mum some pjs a few weeks ago. £22! I was shocked,” wrote one.
A second agreed: “Prices are ridiculous.”
A third commented: “I found this when I went to buy my son some stuff from there. Went to Next instead – cheaper and better quality.”
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “I won’t buy now unless 25 percent off or a sale ridiculous prices.
“They’ve been going that way for a while – even their reduced to clear sale is ridiculously priced.”
Elsewhere, other Tesco shoppers were quick to defend the supermarket prices and to praise the quality of the jeans in particular.
“Tesco jeans are the best jeans!!” enthused one fashion fan.
Another added: “The jeans are worth the money. They wash well & keep their shape great!”
And a further chimed in: “”Everywhere is the same.”
It comes after angry shoppers were left raging at Primark’s prices and claimed it’s ‘Zara prices for Shein quality.’
The woman could be seen having a mooch around her local Primark branch and captioned the post: “RIP to the old times.”
She then questioned: “Why is Primark not Primarking?”
First up, she fumed about a grey faux fur coat from Rita Ora’s collection which retailed at £40, before showing off a rail of other winter coats, which were priced at £27 and £28 each.
She then spotted a brown coat on a mannequin that cost a whopping £42, while grey puffers coats were priced at £32 each.
