The Children in Freedom School, in Kenya’s Rift Valley, aims to disrupt Kenya’s Eurocentric educational model and to replace it with a blend of local languages and Afrocentric thinking. The institution was recently shortlisted for the World’s Best School Prize, putting them among the top ten schools worldwide in the ‘overcoming adversity’ category.
