A NURSERY worker has revealed the things that parents do that really tick her off when they bring their kids to childcare.
Sarah Angela revealed her pet peeves via a video posted to her TikTok channel @sarrahanelaa.
“Please stop sending your children in these things, from an Early Childhood Educator”, she said.
The first thing that Sarah dislikes is when parents bring their children to nursery wearing dungarees.
This is because they are difficult to undo, so it is hard to change children’s nappies if they are wearing them.
This means that the nursery workers have to waste time, instead of getting on with other important work.
“They take way too long to take off”, Sarah said.
Dungarees also pose problems for older children, who are often unable to get them off, so need help going to the toilet.
Another thing that parents do that Sarah does not like, is bringing their children to nursery in socks that don’t have any grip on them.
This is because they often cause children to slide across the floor and fall over, which could lead to injuries.
“These socks cause so many wipeouts”, Sarah said.
Sarah also dislikes when parents bring their children to nursery in white clothing, or in any “special outfits” such as designer clothes.
This is because children are likely to get these items dirty when doing activities such as arts and crafts, and playing outside.
Sarah’s video has likely struck a chord with many viewers, as it has racked up over 1.6 million views and has hundreds of comments.
Tiktok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts on Sarah’s pet peeves.
One user said: “I can’t stand when kids come in jeans.
“They can’t undo the buttons for toilet breaks”.
Another user said: “I will never understand why people send their young children to school in white because by the time their parents pick them up the clothes are no longer white and they complain about their toddler getting messy”.
A third person chimed in: “I hate it when they come in in Converse shoes.
“I hated putting those back on for them”.
