Queen’s Park have added far-travelled striker Cillian Sheridan to their ranks with the three times capped Republic of Ireland internationalist signing on until the end of this season.
Sheridan, who has scored more than 100 goals in his career, made his debut as a Celtic player in 2007 and stayed with the Parkhead club until 2010 with the now 34-year-old having spells on loan at Motherwell, Plymouth Argyle and St Johnstone during that time.
After Celtic Cillian moved to Bulgaria where he joined CSKA Sofia before having a second loan spell at St Johnstone in 2011/ 12 where he was a team-mate of Assistant Head Coach Liam Craig.
Season 2012–2013 was spent in Kilmarnock before spells in Cyprus, Poland, New Zealand and Israel came to end with a return to Scotland with Dundee in 2021. After two years on Tayside Cillian moved north to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on a short-term deal last summer.
Head Coach Davidson said: “We have been looking to get more experience on board and we have that now in key positions. We will always be a club that is looking to develop players and players like Cillian will help us with that as he knows the game so well.
“He gives us more of a physical presence up front and the threat of getting in behind defences.”
Cillian said: “I have been in training with the club for a couple of weeks now and both the people and the facilities have been terrific. I am looking forward to being involved between now and the end of the season.”
Club President Graeme Shields said: “Cillian is an experienced player who gives us another option to our attack. I look forward to seeing him play.”
