Drew Scott’s Son Parker Does the Cutest Thing When His Dad Gets Home from Work
Reuniting with your kids after work is one of life’s best moments. The squishy cuddles, excited chatter about their day, and precious bedtime stories are like a balm to your soul. Drew Scott shared the sweet thing his toddler son Parker does when he gets off work, and it’s adorable.
Daddy’s Home!
In a new photo on Instagram, the 21-month-old is dressed in a blue-and-yellow shirt and blue overalls. He’s leaning over the back of the couch, just staring out the window as Scott’s car pulls up in the driveway. He looks ready to run up to his dad and shower him with hugs and kisses, which has got to make a parent’s heart feel good!
“Best part of every day: Seeing this little face smiling when I pull up,” the Property Brothers star, who shares Parker with pregnant wife Linda Phan, captioned the post. We don’t blame him!
“The best feeling ever ❤,” one person commented. Someone else wrote, “Soon, you will have 2 little faces watching for you. ❤️❤️”
Others left some judgy comments on the photo because they felt like Parker’s face should be visible — even though it’s a picture of the way Parker gazes at his dad out the window! “Glad you see the smiling face why not be kind to your fans n let us see the smiling face sometime,” one person commented, as if anyone is owed a picture of someone else’s child.
“do we get to see his little face too? haha ????,” someone else wrote.
Daddy’s Boy
Parker is totally a Daddy’s boy. He loves helping his dad with tasks (like writing a Valentine’s letter to his mama!), and he tends to copy his dad whenever he can.
“He copies everything. So if I’m like ‘ugh,’ then you just hear a little, ‘ugh,’” Drew said on the TODAY Show With Hoda & Jenna. Parker also “loves guitar” like his dad.
“It’s funny, when he first got his little mini guitar, because he watches me every morning — I try and strum a little for him,” Drew said. “I grab the pick off of the neck and then I strum. He gets his guitar and the first thing he did is reach over like this and then going to go like this,” he explained, while demonstrating picking and playing the guitar.
Scott’s brother Jonathan Scott added, “There’s no pick on his guitar but he does.”
“How cute is that?” host Jenna Bush Hager said. “I mean, it does show you that kids watch everything.”
It’s so true — and so cute!
