ESPN’s Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit Confirm Whether They’ll Be in New College Football Video Game

As fans anxiously await the return of the EA Sports College Football franchise this summer, more details continue to be revealed for the first new game in over a decade.

ESPN’s No. 1 college football broadcast team of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will be the featured play-by-play announcers in the video game.

“I’m in the Game!” Fowler posted to social media on Thursday. “I can finally make it official. I am honored to be one of the voices in #CFB25 ! Wait until you see this game! #EAPartner”

It will be Fowler’s first appearance in the video game as the play-by-play announcer, as previous versions of the franchise featured CBS college football announcer Brad Nessler as the game’s play-by-play voice.

Herbstreit, who was a mainstay in earlier versions of the video game, also confirmed that he will be back.

“I’m so excited to FINALLY announce that I’m part of @EASPORTSCollege. I’m proud to be a partner and one of the voices of the game once again - my 14th year in that role. #CFB25 #EAPartner,” Herbstreit posted.

Thursday was a significant day of announcements for the impending video game, as EA Sports revealed that all 134 FBS schools would be featured. In addition, Thursday was the first day that student-athletes across the FBS could formally register to be included in the video game, which will net athletes $600 and a free copy of the video game for their name, image and likeness to be used by EA Sports.
