Dan Edgar breaks silence on shock new Towie romance – and reveals how ex Amber Turner reacted
DAN Edgar has broken his silence on his shock new romance with Towie co-star Ella Rae Wise.
The Sun revealed this week that Dan, 33, and 23-year-old Ella had grown close during the cast trip to Bali.
Now he’s spoken out on their budding relationship, insisting it happened “naturally”.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Dan said: “We are away together – we are two of the only single people on the show.
“It has just naturally happened out here. It is early… it isn’t anything deep.”
“Some stuff happened in the past that we got over. We became friends again.”
Dan split from long-term girlfriend Amber Turner in May after six years together.
Discussing his ex’s reaction to the romance with Ella, he continued: “Whatever happens now [with Ella] we will go with the flow – she is single and I am single. I don’t owe anyone anything. I am out here enjoying myself.”
Ella and Amber, 30, previously clashed on the show after Ella claimed Dan touched her “inappropriately” on a night out.
But despite this Dan has insisted Amber isn’t bothered by his and Ella’s romance since moving to Dubai to start a new life.
He said: “She has moved country. She is seeing someone else.
“Amber briefly mentioned Ella… she said she wanted me to know she is fine with it and that’s she’s fine being around me.
“I haven’t had anything to do with her really so I wouldn’t expect her to be bothered.”
Just last month Ella appeared to confirm she’d split from her mystery boyfriend after revealing she was in a relationship in May.
Meanwhile Amber broke down in tears during the most recent series of Towie as she and Dan spoke about their split.
She told him: “It just frustrates me that you say you miss the person that I was.
“It’s like you miss that, you miss it when it when it’s gone. It’s like why did you let it get to a point where, when that was gone?”
Dan replied: “You started doing things that you regret and that now you can’t change.
“And that is the sad fact of the relationship, and that is why we’re now sitting here in this position.
He added: “I can’t change you and neither can you. There’s nothing you can do about it.”
To which, she tearfully acknowledged: “I know, I f***** up.”
