The Haryana police in Ambala district have taken action against farmer leaders involved in ongoing protests at the state border under the National Security Act (NSA), 1980. According to an official release, the police cited continuous efforts by farmers' unions to break barricades at Shambhu border and cause law and order disruptions. Instances of stone-pelting and damage to government and private property were reported.
