Skechers Teams With Belgian Artist Vexx on Doodle-Printed Sneaker Collection
Skechers’ latest footwear drop from its “Artist Series” features a collaboration with renowned Belgian artist Vexx, whose work has been featured in galleries and museums across the world.
The Skechers x Vexx collector’s capsule is comprised of two silhouettes with four different designs by the Brussels-based artist known for his signature vibrant doodle style. The collection also includes a T-shirt and hat embroidered with Vexx’s “Furry Face” doodle graphic.
The Uno featuring the brand’s Skech-Air air-cushioned midsole comes in one colorful rendition and another version with a white foundation illustrated in black ink dubbed the “Process Sketch.” The medial side of the latter shoe is emblazoned with Vexx’s “Furry Face” design.
The Skechers x Vexx Koopa Court has also been given a vibrant doodle treatment and another black and white doodle motif. Both shoes are crafted with leather and dura leather combination uppers and Skechers’ Air-Cooled Memory Foam insoles.
In a statement about the capsule, Vexx shared, “As an artist, it’s been a priority for me to create without compromise — and Skechers celebrates that philosophy. They collaborate with diverse artists and give them the freedom to explore. It’s unique for a brand of this size to let independents drive their collections in new directions. Footwear as a canvas is interesting when you think of people from all walks of life walking in your art. That’s exhilarating and inspiring.”
Offered in sizes for men and women, the new collection is now available to shop on skechers.com as well as at select retail stores.
