EastEnders tragedy as Jack Branning is forced to take drastic action over wife Denise Fox
EASTENDERS’ Jack Branning has been forced to take drastic action over wife Denise Fox.
The police officer – who is played by actor Scott Maslen in the BBC soap – finally realised the extent of Denise’s mental health problems tonight.
Viewers know that Denise has been seeing visions of dead Keanu Taylor after she helped cover up his death.
She has spiralled out of control and reason and thinks the devil is after her for her pat in what happened.
Earlier this week she fled Albert Square with stepdaughter Amy, determined to lure the devil – who looks like Johnny Carter – away from her home.
But after a near miss in the car, Denise fled into woodland where she suffered horrifying visions.
She hallucinated that multiple people were Johnny and ran completely terrified.
Even when husband Jack arrived she thought he was Johnny at first.
He finally convinced her that he was himself and Denise begged him to protect her from the devil.
Convincing her to return home, Jack promised that he would protect her.
And back in Walford he was determined to care for her himself at home and get her well again.
But then a mental health crisis team turned up to assess Denise leaving the family with no choice but to agree to section her.
Denise was led out of the house into the waiting ambulance by the team of doctors.
The other members of The Six watched on terrified their secret was about to be exposed with Denise sectioned.
