Mike Bennett gifts portrait to therapy gecko Lyle Forever

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland artist Mike Bennett made an original portrait for comedian, therapist gecko and internet celebrity Lyle Forever, which he recently shared on social media.

Bennett told KOIN 6 News that he quietly gifted the artwork to the comedian in 2023, but only recently shared the piece on his social media pages.

“This is actually a project from last year that I haven’t shared,” Bennett said. “He was in Portland celebrating his birthday and I surprised him.”

Bennet said that he is a fan of Lyle Forever’s show, which is returning to Portland in June. Lyle Forever is scheduled to perform at Polaris Hall on June 7 as part of his “Therapy Gecko: The Lizard Agenda Tour.”

“I think he’s onto something really amazing,” Bennett said. “I’m excited to see him at his live show in Portland this summer.”
