WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) – The quick actions of two police officers helped save a man who fell onto subway tracks in Manhattan, according to the NYPD, which shared video of the dramatic rescue.

The rescue happened at the 181st Street subway station in Washington Heights just before 7:30 a.m. Sunday, NYPD officials said.

The officers responded to help a man who fell onto the A line tracks and hit his head, police said. With the help of another subway rider, the officers were able to pull the man to safety, the video showed.

“What can happen in a NY minute? This rescue!” the NYPD posted on social media. “In less than 60 seconds, two [NYPD Transit] cops and a straphanger rushed to save a man after he fell onto the subway tracks and hit his head.”

The man was taken to a hospital to be evaluated, police said.

Last month, two NYPD officers saved a man who fell onto subway tracks in Brooklyn, with just seconds to spare before the train rolled into the station, video of the rescue showed.
