‘Survivor 46’ preview: Tim Spicer wants to ‘inspire more young Black males’ [WATCH]
“Survivor 46” contestant Tim Spicer lives a life of inspiration, where he was “poured into” as a young Black man and wants to “inspire more young Black males” through his work and family. As a self proclaimed “Black fish,” the 31 year old college coach from Atlanta also jokingly refers to himself with the nicknames “Tim Swims” and “Speedo Spice.” Watch their full CBS interview above.
In the non profit that Tim currently works for, he “trains high school students how to apply to college and college students how to survive college.” He found a career with that particular program because it’s the same program he came to as a young Black man, saying that it “inspired me to inspire more young Black males as well.”
Tim also finds inspiration from his wife, saying that they’ve “been pushing each other ever since” they met in a college class where he passed her notes. They have two sons together and so Tim is playing the game “for Spicer party of four.” He wants to be able to tell his two boys that “anything you put your mind to, sons, you can do it.”
Don’t miss Tim compete as an original member of the Siga tribe sporting this season’s green buff when “Survivor 46” premieres with two-hour episodes on Wednesday, February 28 and Wednesday, March 6, followed by 90-minute episodes thereafter. The new season features 18 new players divided into three tribes and they’ll vote each other out until only one remains on Day 26 as the $1 million winner. Do you think Tim will be the newest champion?
