Caltrans sets meeting
on sea level project
The state will hold an online meeting about a project focused on rising sea levels in southern Marin on Feb. 29.
The project, which is eligible for federal funding, would address sea level rise threats to Highway 1, Highway 101 and the Manzanita commuter lot.

City seeks feedback
on new city manager
The Novato City Council is seeking public comments on qualities residents would like to see in the next city manager.
The comments will be used to help guide the application and interview process.
The survey is open until 5 p.m. Feb. 29. It is online at novato.org/opennovato.
KENTFIELD
Alleged thief accused
of biting store worker
A suspected shoplifter allegedly bit a Kentfield store employee who tried to stop her from fleeing.
The incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Woodlands Market on College Avenue, Marin County sheriff’s Sgt. Adam Schermerhorn said. The suspect also attempted to run from deputies when they tried to detain her, he said.
San Rafael resident Sarah Thomison Boushey, 54, was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of robbery, public intoxication and resisting deputies. Her bail was set at $75,000.
