My best thrift find ever is a treasure – paying hundreds for designer fashion is out, they were on the shelf for $50
A THRIFTY shopper has already spotted the biggest trend of the year – no longer dishing out major dough on designer items.
And with her penny-pinching prowess, she was already saving on her style big time.
“I’m packing for a trip and I wanted to show you guys – look what I found when I was at the thrift store a week ago,” said Abby (@abbyrizzotti1).
She was still in disbelief over her designer find – Jimmy Choo wedges.
“I have to clean them up a little bit,” she said.
It was worth giving the strappy beige shoes with a corkscrew wedge a bit of TLC as similar pairs from the designer go for hundreds of dollars.
The Jimmy Choo raffia embroidered wedge sandals sell for $750.
The Italian brand is described as offering shoes that fit true to size.
The lucky find was certainly not lost on her.
“And they were just sitting on the shelf. I got them for $50. I could not believe it,” she said.
Abby knew that she had scored with the style steal.
“Best thrift find ever, a treasure,” she said.
Her tale also served as a warning not to sleep on your own second-hand store.
“I would go there today and truly just look through everything because you will be amazed.”
She also had a message for her fellow money savers out there.
“Paying full price for designer is out. Thrifting is in,” she said.
Abby had also found an “insane dress” for less and was ready for her next haul hunt.
