Assemblyman Smullen's son seriously injured in crash

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Assemblyman Robert Smullen posted on Facebook that his son, AJ, was seriously injured in a car crash that happened on Thursday. Smullen said AJ is in critical but stable condition after the crash.

"Megan and I need your prayers, our son AJ was grievously injured in an accident yesterday while playing with some of his friends," said Assemblyman Smullen. "He is in critical but stable condition in the Pediatric ICU at Albany Med after emergency surgery. Thank you for your support, AJ is a fighter and needs all your love."

Smullen represents the 118th Assembly District. The 118th Assembly District is comprised of Hamilton County, and parts of Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, and Oneida counties.
