DESPITE living with her pet chicken in a shed, one woman feels anything but cooped up.
The TikToker revealed that her unique pet is the best part of her tiny home.
In her video, Sophie Hilaire (@sophie.hilaire) gave her followers an insight into life with her chicken Tootsie Pop.
The pair live in a 640-square-foot shed, which Sophie converted after living out of a van for two years.
Although the home is small, it is designed to feel as though there are separate rooms, complete with two loft spaces.
The open space also features an office space, dining area, living room, and kitchen.
Sophie’s fully-functioning bathroom even includes a composting toilet.
Tootsie Pop made the most of the space, sleeping in the closet, running up the stairs, and doing a base jump off the loft.
The shed-dweller praised her pet for bringing some life to the small space.
“This home is more than a cute little nest, it’s my sanctuary, my safe haven, and my homestead,” she wrote in the caption of another clip.
“Special thanks to my house chicken Tootsie Pop, who really makes this place home.”
Sophie joked that the chicken also “provides 24/7 pest control services.”
While Tootsie Pop helps to prevent insects from infesting the shed, the animal is usually fed a healthy supply of live mealworms Sophie revealed.
“This is Tootsie Pop’s shed, I’m just living in it,” she joked.
Her followers shared their thoughts on the set-up in the comments section.
“Oh my God, she’s precious,” wrote one TikTok user while another viewer said, “That is so cute.”
A third person called Tootsie Pop the “most spoiled chicken ever.”
