Kaplan home destroyed by fire Thursday morning

KAPLAN, La. (KLFY) -- A house in Kaplan was destroyed and another damaged in a fire early Thursday morning, authorities said.
Kaplan Fire Department responded to a house fire on the corner of Montgomery and 9th Street early Thursday morning. Officials said the house was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived and a neighboring structure was also involved.
Firefighters battled the blaze for over four hours, including Abbeville Fire Department, Meaux Nunez , Indian Bayou and Gueydan Fire Department.
No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is still unknown, officials said.
