APD: Pedestrian dies 3 days after crash in southeast Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department provided information surrounding a traffic fatality in southeast Austin.

APD said at approximately 1:50 p.m. Feb 15, officers responded to a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian in the 2300 block of Grove Boulevard.

Police said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital, where they died three days later.

According to APD, the driver involved remained at the scene following the incident and was cooperating with the investigation.

As of Thursday, police have not released the identity of the pedestrian who died.

APD said the incident was being investigated as Austin's tenth fatal crash of 2024.
