Georgia Harrison revealed real reason Love Islanders enter into ‘showmances’ as fans question her dating Anton Danyluk
LOVE Island’s Georgia Harrison previously admitted that “no one cares” about the contestants who fail to find romance on the show.
As fans continue to question just how genuine her feelings for Anton Danyluk are, Georgia’s past comments have come to light.
The All Stars finalist, 29, first appeared on Love Island in 2017 and left the show in a couple with co-star Sam Gowland.
She later revealed her social media followers had rocketed – and how she believed it was because she was romantically involved with Sam.
In a resurfaced interview with SK Unmasked Podcast, Georgia said: “For one I came out with Sam, we were still coupled up and it was right near the end near the final, I think that’s why my followers went up so much.
“One, because I was in a good position but two, because if you leave with someone, they want to know how you are getting on.”
Hinting at why couples might stay together even if there isn’t a spark, she added: “If you leave on your own and you sit at home having a biscuit, no one really cares.”
While in the villa, Georgia and Anton found themselves under scrutiny from both viewers and their fellow housemates.
Even Georgia’s friend Joshua Ritchie questioned whether their relationship was “one-sided” and genuine, leading to a feud.
The couple made it to the final but were first to be dumped following the public vote, meaning they finished in fifth place.
But now back home, they are still finding themselves under the microscope.
Now, Anton has admitted in a live radio broadcast that even his mum is “skeptical” about Georgia following a video call – which has only added to the pressure.

“My mum’s obviously a little bit sceptical and Georgia was like, ‘Look, you’re rightly so. I get it, I one hundred per cent get it. But I’ll win you over.’”
