First look at Prince Harry’s Invictus Games documentary dropping on Netflix rival as £80m deal to end in months
PRINCE Harry’s Invictus Games documentary has dropped on Hulu – despite his contract with Netflix.
Speaking at the Winter Invictus Games‘ One Year to Go event in Whistler, Canada, the Duke discussed his dad’s health, family life and even American citizenship.
He also told Good Morning America‘s Will Reeve how kids Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, have “incredible” senses of humour.
The doc – called Prince Harry’s Mission: Life, Family and the Invictus Games – is based on interviews given by Harry to ABC News.
It comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have just a year left before their Netflix deal ends.
The show dropping on the streaming services’ rival has come as a shock to those at Netflix, reports The Mail.
And the duke and duchess are believed to have been paid only half of their reported £78million contract.
And they will get the rest only if they produce content of real interest before the end of 2025.
During the ABC interview Harry discussed jetting back to the UK to see the King.
He said: “I spoke to him. I jumped on a plane and went to go and see him as soon as I could.
“I love my family. The fact I was able to get on a plane and see him and spend any time with him – I’m grateful for that.”
Asked if the King’s illness could have a reunifying effect on the family, he added: “Yeah sure.
“Through all these families I see on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together.
“Any illness, any sickness brings family together.”
When asked about Charles’ current condition, he said: “That stays between me and him.”
He said: “I have my own family as we all do. My family and life in California is how it is.
“I have got other trips planned that will take me through the UK, or back to the UK, so I will stop in and see them when I can.”
Harry also told how he has “considered” getting American citizenship – but that he does not “feel” American.
He explained: “The american citizenship is something that has crossed my mind. But it is not a high priority for me right now.”
