Fire crews knock down house fire in Del City

DEL CITY, Okla. (KFOR) - Fire crews responded to a house fire in Del City Monday morning.

According to the Del City Fire Department, Del City and Oklahoma City fire crews responded to a home near Dentwood Terrace around 5:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the cable vents and turbine vent. They also found flames coming from a window at the back of the house.

"We did an interior attack and primary search, the house was vacant. Nobody was home," said Captain Sonny Marti with Del City Fire. "We don't have any injuries, firefighters or residents."

Officials say the fire was knocked down quickly, but there is significant damage inside the home.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
