Northeast has highest percentage of stomach bug cases in US: CDC
NEW YORK (PIX11) – A highly contagious stomach bug is still spreading in the Northeast, according to the CDC.
The region has the highest percentage of norovirus cases in the U.S., data showed.
The virus can spread quickly through direct contact, such as sharing food and utensils, health officials said. It can also stay on objects and surfaces for days, even remaining after using some disinfectants.
The best way to avoid it is to wash your hands often, health officials said.
